The Gift of Time
Kindly consider donating your time to help organize and execute our signature events. From little tasks to larger projects, your efforts are much appreciated and greatly valued.
The Gift of Talent
Individuals, clubs, scout troops, student councils and employee groups have come up with creative ways to support children with cancer that don’t involve collecting money.
- Host a Sock Hop at your school or church and make the admission fee a new pair of socks.
- Host a Pajama Day at your school, college or workplace to raise awareness. Kids in treatment spend a lot of time in PJs – ask participants in your PJ day to bring a new set of pajamas for DC Candlelighters’ kids.
- Celebrate a birthday, anniversary or high school graduation by asking for donations of gift cards, toys or art supplies for kids with cancer.
- Organize a coin drive, dress-down day, bake sale, carnival, raffle or talent show.
Sponsorship
Event sponsorship is also recommended as an effective method to generate positive brand awareness among your customers and our supporters. When you sponsor a DC Candlelighters signature event your name and logo are included on program materials.
