James Crossett of Centreville, VA, son of DC Candlelighters’ Founder & Co-President, Meg Lawless Crossett, was one of 40,000 runners in the 50th Marine Corps Marathon on Sunday, October 26, 2025. James medaled for finishing the 26.2-mile course, and beat his time last year by nearly an hour! WAY TO GO JAMES! Finishing up at the Iwo Jima Marine Corps statue (photo left), James collected that gorgeous medal (photo center).
James ran in honor of his sister Rachel (photo right), and was cheered on (virtually, that is) by 28 individuals who together, generously donated $2,350 to DC Candlelighters. THANK YOU EVERYONE – you are all awesome for supporting James and donating to DCC!
